Hi, my name is Alex and I am an Aussie import of Ukrainian origin now living in the USA, with my American husband, our cat and an ever-growing wall of yarn. I have a fledgling graphic/web design business which you can find here.

I have to confess, I am totally addicted to crochet. I started crocheting in 2004 shortly after moving here and subsequently started collecting retro crochet patterns from the 30s-70s. My collection had grown so large that I thought it was a shame to not share it. That is how this website got started. If only there were more hours in a day to get to all the patterns I want to do!

I teach crochet and jewelry-making classes around the Seattle area in WA state. I have also had some of my crochet designs published in magazines. Here are some pics below of my designs published in Crochet Fantasy, FC Easy Crochet and Interweave Crochet. What inspired me to try designing my own patterns was that I couldn't find exactly what I was wanting to wear in the crochet books available. That and I keep getting design ideas popping into my head in the middle of the night when I'm trying to sleep.
